Aquaculture Seawater Supply System in Yunlin, Taiwan

◎ Models Installed:

AF Series - Submersible Sewage / Wastewater Pumps

◎ Description:

Kouhu Township in Yunlin County is one of Taiwan’s leading aquaculture production regions, particularly for hard clam farming. In the past, aquaculture ponds relied on drainage channels as seawater sources, resulting in unstable water quality during heavy rainfall and frequent conflicts with flood-control systems. To address these challenges, an integrated seawater supply system was developed to deliver seawater directly inland for aquaculture use, effectively separating water intake from drainage infrastructure while ensuring consistent water quality and reliable system operation. Selected HCP AF-1050 submersible wastewater pump, with a max flow of 14m³/min and a max head of 38m, coupled with elbows, meets the system requirements to maintain stable flow. Highsolids epoxy waterproof coatings and sacrificial anodes enhancecorrosion resistance in seawater environments. With underwater positioning and securing, sediment intake and mechanical wear is minimized, ensuring long-term operational reliability, extended service life, and a stable seawater supply that supports sustainable aquaculture production.
